Sunday, May 20, 2018: "Making Friends" with Norah McMeeking

Did you like playing with paper dolls? Did you draw clothes for them? This class will bring back happy memories and show you how to fuse and machine appliqué a "nationality" doll based on simple shapes and adaptable parts. I've designed patterns for skirts, shoes, hairdos, vests, aprons, blouses, and more for mixing and matching. You can even hand appliqué if you wish! You can make a doll to pay homage to the national dress of an ancestor, favorite travel destination, or an-all-American cowgirl. Google "traditional dress" + country name + choose the images tab for ideas. Bring your favorites to class and create an original dolly or choose from patterns I'll provide. We'll discuss a myriad of ways to add details to your dolly. This could be the start of beautiful friendship!

Supply list to follow.
