To keep current in the quilting field, the Conejo Valley Quilters attends and holds a variety of workshops and quilting events throughout the year and invites prominent guest speakers to our Guild meetings. Our members also exhibit at quilt shows throughout the year. Please join us!

Conejo Valley Quilters workshops

Unless otherwise noted, the fee is $40 for CVQ Guild members and $50 for non-members.

Julia Fikse—August
Julia Fikse has 25 years of experience in the textile industry as a designer, garment maker, textile creator, graphic artist, entrepreneur, clothing and accessory manufacturer, and business leader. Julia has a B.S. Degree in Design from the University of California at Davis, with a minor in Textiles and Clothing. She has trained and worked as a trend forecaster, designer, colorist and dye coordinator at Levi Strauss and Co., Gymboree, and Adidas. She has owned and operated her own clothing company for over 14 years. Julia is an AQS Certified quilt appraiser based in Los Angeles, CA, and currently holds memberships in a variety of quilt-related organizations including the American Quilt Study Group, PAAQT and American Quilter’s Society.

Scott Griffin—October
Scott Griffin lives in sunny California, Los Angeles to be more specific. He is an art quilter and quilting is his hobby and passion. Scott has been quilting now for almost 18 years. He just ended his 29-month presidency of the Valley Modern Quilt Guild in January 2018. Recently he started his own company where you can find patterns and some great inspiration.
